I didn't know the difference between a captive agent and an independent agent. I really didn't know where to begin shopping for insurance so I just went online. As an independent agent, Ryan is working for me not the insurance company and he was able to build a policy from scratch based on what I wanted so I didn't have to pay for coverages I didn't need.
